Marybeth & Ben’s Wedding
•February 5, 2010 • Leave a CommentIn November of 1999 my family and I started going to Grace Community Church, then called Providence Community Church, and I met a girl named Marybeth. We were in youth group together, I am about a year younger than her brother Joel and about a year older than her. We went to homeschool enrichment programs together, I was in study hall with her, though I don’t think we were ever in the same classes. Eventually Mb grew up and started attending the University of Denver as a piano performance major. As part of her studies she had the opportunity to do a study abroad program and was in Italy for a semester, while she was there a few of us began to notice this guy who seemed to find a way to be next to her in almost every picture. He was obviously interested and I kinda wondered who he was. After they came home this guy, Ben is his name, began to come to church with Marybeth, and it became obvious that the interest was mutual. Back in August (yes I’m that behind…gah!) they got married at GCC and then went to DU for photos and their reception. I had the privilege of second shooting this wedding with a wonderful South African photographer and friend Lizelle Lotter.

Amy Goes to YWAM!
•February 5, 2010 • Leave a CommentMy dear friend Amy is on a YWAM DTS right now, she finished her lecture phase at the Kona, HI base and is currently on outreach in Amsterdam. As she was preparing to leave we did a photoshoot so that she would have pictures to use for her blog or to send out with her support letters. So many of my friends are missions oriented or are doing missions work and I’ve found that this is a great way to support and sow into them. Plus I get to hang out with them and get lovely pictures of my dear friends! It’s definitely a win win situation. Without further ado here is the lovely Amy.
Her eyes are literally one in a thousand.

Amy is very sweet and playful and has a joy-filled, child-like spirit.

Amy & Jon’s Wedding
•November 17, 2009 • Leave a CommentMy friend Lindsey invited me to help her photograph the wedding of two of her dear friends whom I had recently met, Amy & Jon. I had hung out with Amy a couple of times before the wedding and really enjoyed getting to know her a little bit. These two have such a sweet relationship and I loved watching Jon interact with Amy, he is obviously totally in love with her! Such a wonderful couple! I enjoyed getting to be a part of it! They decided to see each other before the ceremony to catch the afternoon light for the photos.

Here are some details of the ceremony area, they created a lovely outdoor chapel feel.

Amy’s sister played violin during the ceremony.

These lanterns created a lovely boundary on one side of the ceremony area.

The guys made their way down to the ceremony site

They had such a cute, excited bridal party!

Lenee’s Maternity Shoot
•October 26, 2009 • Leave a CommentWhen my dear friend Lenee asked me to do a maternity shoot for her I jumped at the chance! Lenee has such a great sense of style and is so much fun that I knew it would be a fun shoot! This is her sixth (yeah #6) pregnancy and any day now little Gabriella Joy will be joining us! For a woman who is pregnant with her 6th child to be excited about baring her belly is pretty awesome and I’d imagine pretty rare. It helps that her belly is gorgeous! Such a sweet beautiful friend! I so enjoyed this shoot! You can see the shoot I did a few months ago of Lenee and her other five lovely children here.

Then we did something really fun!!

Micah’s Senior Portraits
•October 9, 2009 • Leave a CommentMicah is a senior this year at Faith Christian Academy in Arvada. He has been a good friend of my brother Joe and I really enjoyed hanging out with him and his family for their combo family portraits and his senior portraits. He sure is a handsome young man!

Summer Time and the Livin’ is Easy!
•September 2, 2009 • 3 CommentsAt some point this summer a couple of my friends and I were up late and decided to go play some music on Pearl Street in Boulder in the middle of the night. It was a really neat experience to sit in a place that is normally bustling with people at a time when it is fairly still and silent. A few people walked by and one man stopped and asked us to sing him a song since it was his birthday and his friend had died that day as well. We sang to him and talked for a while. All in all it was quite a memorable experience and, of course, I took pictures!

DIVE
•September 1, 2009 • 1 CommentI had the opportunity to go to a week long intensive music school for women in Charlotte, North Carolina called DIVE (Deep Innovative Vertical Expression.) There were 15 women from all over the country and one from London, England! It was an amazing experience. These are a few of my photos from that week.

One of our instructors, the amazing Paulette Wooten.

Some of the beautiful women in the program with me (it was a room full of beautiful talented women)!!
